Healing the Ancient Wound - The Journey of Chiron

A Workshop Proposal

This is a proposal for a workshop that I might offer to familiarize bodyworkers, massage therapists, acupressurists and energy workers with the concept of the "ancient wound", and with how we might use the Chiron archetype in our roles as healers.
The workshop would be open to anyone with an interest in, and any training in, some form of bodywork, casual or professional. An interest in or knowledge of astrology would also be helpful. I would suggest viewing this Web site and reading my project ahead of time. The workshop duration would probably be a half-day or maybe 6 hours, perhaps a weekend afternoon.
Class size would be limited to maybe 6 or 8 people. Participants would provide me with as much detailed birth information as they can (date, time, place), or a copy of their astrology chart if they have one. I would then look up the Chiron placement at the time of their birth, calculate where it falls in their chart, and get a basic idea of the house placement and any significant aspects to it. This would also need to be done before the workshop date.
Using the charts as a rough guide, the workshop could include a brief intuitive analysis by me of how Chiron plays a role in each individual's connection to bodywork and healing. We would discuss house placements in relation to personal wounds and what challenges and opportunities this provides for healing ourselves and for being a healing practitioner.
Guided visualizations might be used to help connect us to our own wounds and to the universal ancient wound. I would customize the meditations and discussion based on the charts of the participants and their Chiron placements. We would explore connecting with the Chiron archetype, and gain insight into how various forms of bodywork and healing can benefit from this awareness.
I would provide handouts with general Chiron information, and perhaps an intuitive Chiron chart analysis typed up for the individuals, based on the information given me ahead of time. Cost of workshop to be determined.
I would be very grateful to find out if there is any interest in such a workshop. I'd be delighted to receive an email or a phone call from anyone who might like to paricipate in a workshop on this subject. If enough people express an interest, I would then begin the logistics of making decisions on a space, date, time, etc. It would probably have to be held either in my home (very small), or perhaps in the home of one of the participants if they have an adequate space.
